Row off the Wall

The Row Off the Wall Team - Captain Sara Brewer and Navigator Ann Prestidge - are excited to be Kymira Brand Athletes while they prepare to take on the 2019/2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, rowing 3000 miles from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

Since coming across Kymira at the New Scientist Exhibition at Excel in 2017, Kymira Infrared garments have been part of their rowing kits. "We cannot recommend it highly enough; for rowers in particular it has the added advantage of drying very quickly so you are not having to cope with a cold, wet fabric whilst being out on the water. Thank you Kymira both for your products and your faith in us"

Sara will be raising funds for The Alzheimer's Society. "I would like to say that I finally decided to row the Atlantic Ocean after carefully considering at least some of the facts, including some of the obvious dangers and difficulties associated with such an endeavour, but that would not be strictly true, in fact it would not be true at all."

And Ann will be supporting Street League - "Born and bred in London I am now living, working, rowing and dreaming in Leeds. Sara and I rowed a marathon (from Boston to Lincoln), rowed the Thames (from Lechlade to Poplar) and tried sea rowing (around Hayling Island). So, rowing the Atlantic Ocean is the next logical step!"

The race starts in December - not long now; we wish them a good row and will be cheering them on from the comfort of Christmas.
